The scores: Confidence, Buy Score, Operator, Liquidity, Exit Risk

ZEME-100Lesson 3 of 69 min readEnglishFree

ZEME publishes several 0-100 scores. They measure different things and they are not interchangeable. This lesson defines each one.

Confidence Engine™, how strong the evidence is

A 0-100 score for how well a stock's current behaviour matches patterns that preceded moves in the past. Currently computed across 392 scored stocks.

The honest part: we measured confidence against the operator win rate it was supposed to predict and found a correlation of +0.04, which is, statistically, none. That reconciliation is still open and is documented in our Where ZEME is weak course. Treat confidence as a ranking aid, not a probability.

Decision Score™ (the Buy Score). The one that gates everything

The number that actually decides whether a stock appears on a ZEME surface:

Buy Score = 0.6 × entry timing + 0.4 × confidence

Entry timing asks whether price is still near the accumulation zone with a healthy RSI. Confidence is the score above. The weighting is deliberate: where you buy is weighted 1.5× more than how sure we are, because our own exit study found the entry mattered more than the conviction.

Operator Score™, who is behind the stock

Each stock is mapped to an operator archetype with a historical win rate and average gain. The archetypes behave very differently. From our forensic study:

That last one matters: an archetype that sounds sophisticated measured worse than doing nothing.

Liquidity Score™, can you actually trade it

Built from 60-day average traded value with a hard floor of 10,000 shares/day average. Every ZEME scan applies this floor. A signal on a stock you cannot get out of is not a signal.

The related rule you will see on the Track Record page: never take more than 10% of a stock's daily traded value, or your own order becomes the move.

Exit Risk™, how badly it can turn

Grades the risk of a reversal or trap. This exists because of the largest measured leak we have found in our own record: ZEME's live daily picks reached a median peak of +5.03% but a median close of −0.13% at the same horizon. The move happened, then was given back.

Do this now, practical activity

  1. Open Signals and find the Buy Score on any stock.
  2. Work out roughly what its two components must have been. A high score with mediocre confidence means the entry is what qualified it.
  3. Now open the Track Record and compare the peak column against the "now" column on older picks.
What that comparison teaches: the difference between a stock that reached a level and one that held it. Every score above helps with the first. Only your exit order handles the second.

Measured: ZEME's live daily picks reached a median peak of +5.03% against a median close of −0.13% at the same horizon. Confidence correlated +0.04 with operator win rate, effectively zero, and that reconciliation remains open.
