Every number in this course measures whether a stock touched +20%. That word is doing a great deal of work, and this lesson is about why.
A touch is only collectible if an order is already resting at that price. If you intend to decide when you see the high, you will not get the high - you cannot know it was the high until after it has gone.
From ZEME's own live daily record:
- median peak reached: +5.03%
- median close at the same horizon: -0.13%
The move happened. It was then given back. The gap between those two numbers is not a market problem; it is an exit problem, and it is the largest measured leak in retail PSX trading that we can document from our own data.
The practical form is unglamorous: decide the exit before the entry, and leave the order there. A resting sell at your target converts a touch into a return. Nothing else does.
The same logic sets the target honestly. Of the stocks meeting the movement criteria behind this course: 50% touched +12%, 63% touched +10%, but only 33% touched +20%. A lower target fills more often; a higher one pays more when it fills. That is a real trade-off with a right answer for your own risk and no right answer in general.
Measured on ZEME's live daily picks: median peak +5.03% against median close -0.13% at the same horizon.
